The Story

Meet Daisy.

She is a 2011 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Navy blue. Copper illustrated graphics covering every panel. She left London in February 2026, driven by Edwin, Magda and their young family on an extraordinary mission for Curious Roo Coffee Roasters.

Chapter One is Edwin and Magda’s story. They drove Daisy from London across Europe, Turkey, Central Asia and Southeast Asia, all the way to Australia, to personally deliver a single bag of coffee. That is their chapter. When it ends, Daisy ships to Singapore.

That is where our chapter begins. Singapore. We have been entrusted with the extraordinary privilege of driving Daisy home to the United Kingdom — overland, the long way round, through some of the most remarkable roads on earth. Not on a ship. Never on a ship. That is The Longcut.

“The shortcut is simple. The Longcut is the story.”

What is the Longcut?

The Shortcut vs
The Longcut.

Two ways to bring Daisy home. One is obvious. One is the reason this story exists.

The Shortcut
Put her on a boat.

United Kingdom

Simple. Fast. Completely missable. Nobody films a cargo ship and calls it a documentary.

VS
The Longcut
Drive her home.

United Kingdom — Home

20,000+ kilometres. 20+ countries. A 14-year-old Sprinter. Three lads. No shortcuts.

Chapter One
Where this all began

Edwin and Magda’s
story first.

“One order. One extraordinary journey.”

Curious Roo Coffee Roasters is an independent specialty roastery in Chiswick, West London. Edwin and Magda Harrison built it from nothing.

In 2026, they packed their three children into Daisy and drove from their roastery to Perth, Western Australia — to personally deliver a single bag of coffee ordered by Magda’s mum. By land and sea. No flights. A world record attempt.

Daisy is their van. That wrap is their identity. When Chapter One ends in Australia, Daisy will be shipped to Singapore. That is the handover point. That is where we take the wheel. Edwin and Magda drove her out. We have been entrusted with the privilege of driving her back. We do not take that lightly.

The return team

Three ordinary
British lads.

No television credits. No professional expedition experience. One proper mechanic, which helps enormously. Once Edwin and Magda complete their journey to Australia, Daisy ships to Singapore. That is where we take over. Our job is to drive her home to the UK.

01
Adam
Engineer · Mechanic · Captain

Works in agriculture, commercial vehicles and engineering. The reason Daisy makes it home. When something breaks — and something will break — Adam is the reason it gets fixed by the roadside rather than waiting for a recovery truck.

02
Charlie
Filmmaker · Editor · Chef

Responsible for documenting this journey the way it deserves — honestly, without gloss, in a way that makes you feel like you are in the van. Not a highlight reel. The real thing.

03
Logan
Tradesman · Logistics · Morale

Relentlessly, sometimes irritatingly, optimistic. The belief and morale when things go wrong. Every expedition needs someone who genuinely thinks it is all going to work out.

The things

Because the story does not end with a container crossing. We have been entrusted with Daisy and we intend to return her with the same spirit that took her to Australia. Nobody films a cargo ship for six weeks and calls it a documentary.

Yes. Edwin and Magda Harrison of Curious Roo have given us the go-ahead. Once Chapter One concludes in Australia, Daisy will be shipped to Singapore. That is our starting point. We are not driving her to Australia — Edwin and Magda have already done that. Our job is to bring her home from Singapore to the United Kingdom, overland. Departure from Singapore is confirmed for July 2026. The destination is the UK. The route remains flexible.

Three ordinary British lads. Adam is a mechanic who works in agriculture and commercial vehicles. Charlie is a filmmaker and editor. Logan is a tradesman and the team’s relentless optimist. No television credits. No professional expedition experience. One shared job: bring Daisy home properly.

Singapore, through Southeast Asia, overland through the Himalayan corridor and Central Asia, across the Silk Road cities, through the Caucasus, into Turkey, across Europe and home to the UK. The destination is fixed. The route remains flexible.

Curious Roo Coffee Roasters in Chiswick, London. Edwin and Magda Harrison drove Daisy from London to Australia with their three children to deliver a single bag of coffee. Daisy is their van. This is their story first. We have been entrusted with the privilege of continuing it.

Once Edwin and Magda complete Chapter One in Australia, Daisy will be shipped by sea to Singapore. That sea crossing is not part of our story — it is the bridge between Chapter One and Chapter Two. Our expedition begins the moment she arrives in Singapore. From that point, everything is overland. No shortcuts.
